My name is "Ms. Jen." 
I am a self-employed, highly qualified, exceptionally creative professional with a devotion and keen perception to enhance early childhood development. My role as a career nanny, allows children to explore the world around them through hands-on activities, library and outdoor adventures, plus books and reading!
My passion and energy level stirs children's minds and imaginations while they engage in active play and exploration, with wonder and curiosity.
Children 16 - 18+ months up to 6 years of age are my specialty.
My credentials span over 20 years, including working with children in preschool classrooms and as a nanny in children's homes.

Ms Jen watched our daughter H for a week while our daycare was closed. She did a great job and H was very happy to hang out with her all day. She had a ton of different toys she was able to bring to help keep H entertained through out the day. Thank you! 

Ms Jen watched my 2 and 4 year old boys for two weeks. She is simply amazing. I wanted someone who was “born” to work with children, and this is 100% her calling. She always came prepared with books and activities for the kids to do, she also took them to do several activities outside of the home, and made sure they ate healthy snacks and lunches. Ms Jen has incredible energy, did an incredible job teaching them manners and being kind. I wish I could move her to NOVA. We will miss her greatly!

Ms. Jen is a wonderful educator! Our 2 year old daughter always looked forward to the days that Ms. Jen would watch her. Ms. Jen would bring new books, fun toys and a unique crafts over to the house for our daughter to interact with. Ms. Jen is absolutely wonderful and we are so grateful to have found her! She spent the past month with our 2 yr old daughter and over the course of this time they really bonded. Our daughter loves spending time with her and asks about her when she is not with us. Her approach is very thoughtful, educational, and kind. Ms. Jen is a kind and gentle caregiver that always comes prepared with activities and toys for my young one. She puts a lot of thought into her visits and is always a joy to talk to. I know she cares about her families a lot and I trust her completely.

Ms.Jen nannied for our 1.5 year old for a couple of months. She always planned out the day with fun activities or trips. We could tell she put a lot of thought into this. Our kiddo (and pup) was always SO excited when Ms.Jen came through the door and had so much fun with her! We feel very lucky to have found Ms. Jen even though it was only for a short time. She was always fully present with our child when taking care of her, and seemed genuinely excited to play right along with her. She genuinely cares for the children she looks after and has stayed in touch even after moving on. We are so thankful for Ms. Jen, and highly recommend her.

Miss Jen is passionate about children and takes her profession seriously (in the funnest way possible!). She's always incredibly prepared, arriving on time with age appropriate interactive toys and books, a positive, upbeat attitude, and a smile on her face. Her energy is able to match that of my 2 year old daughter, which is absolutely amazing. 

The best thing about Miss Jen is that I know she enjoys her time with my daughter as much as my daughter enjoys her time with Miss Jen. Days with Miss Jen are always an adventure, and my daughter is the lucky beneficiary of this time!

Ms. Jen has been our Son's Nanny for the past 5 months and she is wonderful! She is genuinely sweet, caring, and truly passionate about what she does. Our son loves spending time with her and he is always happy when we get home from work. She always brings books and great educational toys and she is very interactive and is constantly teaching our son. She is super friendly and sweet. We are lucky to have her!

We were privileged to have Ms. Jen as our nanny.  We and our two girls (Ages 2 and 4) thoroughly enjoyed all the time we spent with each other. You can tell Ms. Jen cares so much for the children by the careful thought and preparation that goes into her daily activities. Ms. Jen always came to our house prepared with new games, puzzles, and LOADS of books! The kids were always so excited to help her bring all the new entertainment into our house when she showed up in the morning.  She brought a love of books into our children's lives that continues to be such a positive life habit. She has a great understanding of our girls' needs and abilities as well as being very loving and nurturing. Her personality was perfect for keeping the kids engaged and entertained throughout the entire day.

We have had Ms. Jen babysit our 20-month-old son for nearly 10 months on both a regular/weekly cadence and ad hoc occasions. She always brings a joyous and patient energy that is perfectly suited for minding a toddler. Our son loves spending time with her and is visibly excited every time she comes over. Whether it's by sharing books and toys or taking him out to a playground or the library - Ms. Jen is dedicated to providing undivided attention and fun learning experiences for our son. From a parent's perspective, she is wonderful to work with - respectful, dependable, transparent, and actively seeks feedback. I confidently recommend her to anyone looking for childcare!

Ms. Jen is absolutely wonderful with our son and we feel so fortunate to have met her and brought her into our family to help with our toddler. Finding someone as knowledgeable and passionate about children as Ms. Jen is, is not easy!

Ms. Jen has been a trusted and dependable support for our family since moving to the area in 2017. We are so fortunate to have found her!

We affectionately refer to Ms. Jen as Mary Poppins. She is so perfectly suited to nurturing children. We hired Ms. Jen to watch our little guy on Saturdays. She always comes with different toys or activities for their day together. Most days, she takes him out on field trips to parks, libraries, etc. She also makes a point to spend as much time outside with him as possible, weather permitting. Most importantly, she asked us early on what was important to us. We told her we wanted our son to be kind, and I a can see clearly that she keeps that in the forefront on her mind when she's spending time with him. Lately she has been kind enough to loan her stuffy "Honey Bunny" to us, which is a great opportunity for him to practice being kind and taking care of Honey Bunny. 
We love Ms. Jen and cannot recommend her enough. I'm happy to give a reference if any future families they may want to speak with me directly.

Ms Jen cared for our 3 year old, at our home, for a couple of months during the start of the pandemic when daycare closed. She is very nurturing to each developmental stage, and pays close attention to the unique needs of every child. She is patient, so kindhearted and thoughtful, and gets down on her hands and knees to play, read, and see the world through the eyes of children. We love Ms Jen dearly, and appreciate her gentle and educational approach to childcare.

I have known Ms. Jen for five years during which time she has been a babysitter for my now 6 1/2-year-old daughter 
Ms. Jen is wonderful with children. Ms. Jen made my daughter feel comfortable the very first time we met her. My daughter was just a year and half at that time and Ms. Jen would sing and play with her just like a peer would. 
Over these five years Ms. Jen has instilled an insatiable appetite for reading and learning in my child. My daughter was an early reader and I attribute a large part of that to Ms. Jen's encouragement and love for reading. She makes learning seem like fun - exactly what kids that age need. She also promotes important life values - being active, eating healthy and taking care of the planet.
