About Kayla

I am a certified teacher with 5 years of teaching experience in middle and high school classrooms, specifically in math and science. I also have over a decade of experience tutoring students in many subjects areas across all grade levels. I have a Masters Degree in secondary education, a certification in 6th-12th grade math, and a Bachelors degree in Biology. I am passionate about working with students and helping them find success. I have extensive experience working with students of many abilities, language skills, and grade levels. I currently work as a high school math interventionist, and this position requires me to meet students' specific needs and support them in acheiving growth in math. I believe that with the right support, all students are able to succeed. I believe in strong communication with families to build a partnership that helps the student find success. I am committed to supporting children in their academic growth, and am an enthusiastic and patient teacher.
