About Nicole

I'm a certified special education teacher and literacy specialist with 7+ experience working with students with and without disabilities in grades K - 8th. I've taught in many different settings and also coached teachers, as well as taught at the graduate level at Johns Hopkins University. I most recently took a break from education to raise my son who is now in preschool in Boulder. My passion is literacy, but I have taught math and other subjects as a self-contained teacher. I am trained and certified in the Wilson Reading System, a phonics based reading intervention program. I'm happy to work with your student's curriculum or implement my own. I can also provide informal assessments to support in your own understanding of your child's needs.
