About Lauren

My name is Lauren. I received two Bachelor's degrees, in philosophy pre-law and anthropology. I also spent a year doing advanced research at Oxford University. I am currently in graduate school. I am also a classical musician, and teach flute and violin to children and adults. I only charge 15 dollars a lesson for 1 hour (hard to find these days) and can provide a flute to the student for an extra fee. I have experience in tutoring reading, writing, and English more broadly. I have 4+ years of working in academic publishing, so I am prepared to assist a 1st grader writing their first picture books, all the way to helping format a thesis into Chicago standards. Though a rare request, I am prepared to help in philosophy, having been published internationally for my academic work in philosophy. I am well familiar with great books/classical school curriculum, and am a great choice to assist with private school education. Teaching is my passion!
