About Maia
My first experience with teaching was as a ski instructor where I taught ages 5-18 how to ski. Some of my students had special needs, and we had a lovely time. Beyond that, I've taught math to elementary schoolers in Chile, English to ages 5-65 in Poland, and piano to a 5-year-old in Chile and an elderly woman in Minneapolis. Here's some more background: I've studied up until Calculus 1 for math, and I plan to be a civil engineer. I lived in Chile for a year and am fluent in Spanish. I got a perfect score in the grammar section of the ACT (in English, of course). I took piano lessons for 8 years at a Music Studios and continue to play. I've played at fundraisers and in nursing homes and enjoy improvising. Whatever suits your current needs, I'd be happy to help!
