About Marcia

After graduating college with a 4. 0 GPA, I was a teacher for approximately 20 years, mainly in Minneapolis, teaching English Language Arts, specializing in grammar, literature, poetry, phonics, and reading comprehension. My students were from many different cultures. I have worked with several kids in Special Education, and many students who knew little English. Most of the students with whom I have worked tested at a low level, but some needed challenging work because of their high levels. I have also worked at a learning center, testing and diagnosing students, as well as teaching adults English and/or preparing for a General Equivalency Diploma. Recently, I have had the pleasure of working in a daycare setting for about 10 years, with all levels from infants to preschool. I enjoy all ages of students, having worked with preschool through adult levels. One of the most rewarding experiences for me is when I see a student understand and grow in learning!
