About Maria

I'd describe my personality as dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic. I like tutoring because I like being able to connect with students, support them in their learning, and help them meet their goals. I'm looking for a job that will allow me to utilize my skills as a teacher to help students. When I started teaching in 2001, I provided additional support to students outside of class hours who were struggling in class. In my spare time, I like to jog, travel, and am currently learning how to play golf. One thing you should know about me is I am not just a teacher, but I am a parent as well. I have a daughter starting high school this school year and a son in 7th grade. My skills include setting student-centered goals, identifying students' areas of strength and areas weakness, and creating a plan to achieve those goals.
