About Tamara

For over a decade, I've guided students toward academic success. I'm a certified teacher with a college degree, and I firmly believe motivation is key. I work to help students internalize their motivation using different methods. I assess individual learning styles by reviewing assessments, speaking with parents, and most importantly, listening to the student. To keep students engaged, I connect challenging topics to their interests, break down problems, and encourage critical thinking. Open communication is essential; I provide regular updates to parents to reinforce learning at home. The most rewarding aspect is seeing a student's confidence soar as they master new skills. I tutor English, Study Skills, and History at all levels, from elementary to high school. I am happy to tutor at your home, a center, library, community center, school, or coffee shop. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I would love to help you or your student achieve their academic goals!
