About Nissa

I always loved school growing up, and it largely had to do with the academic and social-emotional support I had access to. I am passionate about providing that support for others. I have extensive experience working with youth in educational settings, and I have training in lesson-planning, teaching, and mentorship. Most recently, I have worked as an outdoor educator and taught youth (ages 6-17) lessons that aligned with their school curriculum. This has ranged from reading and writing skills to ecology and STEM to dance and physical fitness. School can be challenging for a myriad of reasons and I would love to be a positive force in students' academic lives.
