I have 5 years of experience with elderly care. Although I have been a nanny for the last 15 years. I am just leaving a nanny family after 9 years. Their youngest is headed to kindergarten. I hope to find another family to become a part of! In the past, I sat with a stroke victim. I kept him company playing cards, watching tv and going out to get his favorite lunches and bring them to him. He was in the nursing home. But his family preferred more one on one time! I also sat with a 90 yr old for a yr after a back surgery from a fall. I cooked, cleaned, she showed, I helped with dressing, we did pt, went to doctor appointments, etc. I do not have a cna, but I'm extremely caring, loving, and would treat your loved one like a family member!
