About Patricia
I am a retired Licensed Certified Social Worker with 45 years experience, mostly in the area of geriatric care. I am also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and I am certified by the Alzheimer's Association as a trainer in a very specialized model of care called Habilitation. I have worked many years in nursing homes and was a Director of a specialized memory care facility. All this is well and good, but above all this, I have a heart for the elderly. This cannot be taught and I have many stories of people that have touched my life and me theirs. I have been told I have a calming presence as well as a sense of humor. I also have experience with hospice care on both a personal and professional level.
