About Rachel

I'm an experienced tutor and educator who enjoys helping students feel more confident, organized, and capable in their schoolwork. I hold a BA in Film & Television from the University of Southern California, a JD from Southwestern Law School, and an MFA from the American Film Institute Conservatory. I'm also an adjunct professor at Mount St. Mary's University and a professor with the Sundance Collab program. I regularly work with middle school, high school, and college students. For parents, my focus is on clear communication, patience, and helping students develop strong reading, writing, organization, and critical-thinking skills--not just finishing homework, but learning how to work more independently. I tailor sessions to each student's learning style and goals, and I aim to make tutoring supportive, structured, and encouraging.
