About Ryan

Hello, I'm Ms. Ryan! With 25 years of experience teaching science, I have had the privilege of working with countless students through the wonders of the natural world. Throughout my career, I've refined my ability to make difficult scientific concepts both engaging and understandable, whether in the classroom or working one-on-one. My expertise falls within general and advanced biology, environmental studies, middle grade sciences, along with geography. I have successfully supported students through not only classroom sessions, but also through private tutoring sessions after school or weekends. Teaching has always been a deep passion of mine because of the unique opportunity it presents. I find immense joy in making complex ideas accessible and seeing the "aha" moments when students truly grasp something new. My main goal is to build a relationship with each student to understand their individual needs and foster an environment where they feel safe to ask questions.
