About Sharon

I'd describe my personality as curious, detail oriented and friendly I like tutoring because I love learning and enjoy sharing information with others and seeing them succeed. I'm looking for a job where I can share my knowledge and use my many years of experience with people of all different backgrounds. I started tutoring back in college when I worked on a prison literacy project. In my spare time, I like to go mountain biking and time in nature. Equally, I always like to be learning and read a novel a month. I enjoy going to the YMCA to work out because there is a great youth energy and fun atmosphere. One thing you should know about me is that I am a fairly relaxed person but I take my work, whatever it may be, seriously. In working with families, I feel it is very important to respect people's privacy and use always use discretion. My skills include using a goal oriented approach, finding common ground with those I assist, and keeping an element of fun in learning.
