About Sydney

Hi, I'm Sydney! I've spent the past 2. 5 years as a lead teacher and team coordinator, caring for children ages 0-13. Before teaching, I worked as a nanny, and I hold STARS certification along with CPR/First Aid, Safe Sleep, and Bloodborne Pathogens training. I've also completed college courses in early childhood and elementary education, plus professional development trainings. I'm confident balancing the needs of multiple ages and have cared for groups as large as 10 on my own. I'm passionate about play-based, hands-on learning and love creating safe, nurturing, and fun environments where kids can thrive. I'll be moving to Bellingham on September 19th to begin my Elementary Education degree at Western Washington University. I'll be in classes Mondays and Wednesdays. I'm available all day Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, weekends, and evenings/nights. While I don't drive yet, I'm reliable with public transit and love taking kids on walks and safe outdoor adventures.
