About Vanessa

Hello! My name is Vanessa and I am currently a rising senior at MIT and a tutor with several years of experience in most elementary school - high school subjects (math, English, science, and history, and writing, including AP and IB subjects), as well as college application consulting, and SAT/ACT/PSAT test prep. I am currently accepting students for remote or in-person tutoring in the Boston area. As a tutor, I bring a large multidisciplinary body of knowledge, a knack for creatively & intuitively explaining challenging concepts, and a contagious curiosity and sense of humor that keeps students engaged. I prioritize providing all students with robust problem solving and study habits. Additionally as someone with ADHD, I bring empathy and tried-and-true teaching methods to students who have ADHD or may otherwise need more specialized support when it comes to things like organization and focus.
