Welcome to Young Engineers / Mini Inventors Lab S.T.E.A.M Camp! Where budding builders and inventors unleash their creativity while mastering the art of engineering and design! Perfectly tailored for curious minds aged 4.5–11, this camp combines fun, hands-on projects with real-world problem-solving—sparking curiosity in science, motion, and mechanical engineering.

During our days together at Hilltop Creative Summer Camp we will start our mornings off with free exploration, morning greetings, snack and an indoor creative activity. We will have outdoor time on neighborhood hikes and also will visit our local playgrounds and recreational areas Bernal Heights, Holly Park and St Mary's. Towards the end of the day we will gather indoors and will have an afternoon snack provided by Hilltop Creative. Our ration is 1:6and we do not go over 12 campers. Find Your Voice: A Confidence & Communication Workshop for High School Girls High school is a time when many girls become more aware of how they sound, how they’re perceived, and whether they should speak up at all. Whether it’s contributing in class, navigating social situations, or preparing for interviews, confidence in communication matters more than ever! This 2-hour workshop is designed specifically for teen girls to build that confidence in a way that feels comfortable, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable. Participants will learn how to: Speak clearly and confidently Organize their thoughts quickly—even on the spot Manage nerves and self-doubt Express their ideas in a way others listen to Most importantly, this is not a lecture-style class. Students will spend the majority of the time actively speaking, practicing, and receiving supportive coaching and feedback in a small, welcoming group environment. There is no pressure to be perfect and no intimidating moments—just real, guided practice that helps girls feel more at ease using their voice. Get ready for an exhilarating summer at Falcon Camp Newspaper! Discover your inner journalist as you master the art of writing, interviewing, and photography. Campers will hone their writing skills and craft captivating stories. By the end of the week, these budding journalists will produce their very own edition of La Salle's award-winning Falconer newspaper!

Budding artists capturing multiple objects tend to begin with the largest or most attractive one first, finish it, and move on to the next. By studying multiple object composition, line and air perspective, as well as color mixing, students learn to depict multiple three-dimensional objects and build a solid foundation for future artistic study. Our academic method of teaching will open the eyes and minds of aspiring artists to see the myriad of colors and tones in everyday objects. With these foundational skills, students will learn techniques to express their creativity. Classes alternate between Drawing and Painting on a weekly basis. All skill levels welcome. Students will learn to draw and paint multiple objects as a group taking into account proportions, depth, structures, along with light and shadows. Using acrylic or oil, students will flex these core principles of composition to attain the freedom to draw and paint three-dimensional still-life, landscapes and fictional paintings. Procuring painting and drawing materials are the responsibility of each student, but we are of course happy to advise which ones we think are best.

The world of making your own clay creations! This class will teach you how to create several hand-built clay pieces. Students will be introduced to Kiln firing, and procedures, as well as stages of clay: Wet, Greenware, Bisqueware, and more. Each student will custom glaze each project, and have all pieces fired in our kiln. During our last class, we will meet the last 10-15 minutes of class for an Art Show Presentation. Students will present their pieces in an art show to guests. Parents- Invite grandparents, friends and family. All pieces go home the last day of class. Such a fun way for students to share what they have learned through process and design.
