***This course is ONLY for Grades K-1** Art-n-Orbit is a unique art and science program that focuses on children’s creative spirit while they learn the fundamentals of art and science. Students will make their own exploding volcanoes, explore the universe, conduct fun science experiments, create spinning robots that zoom across the floor, and much much more. Every class is a hands-on, engaging, and educational adventure for boys and girls alike. Best of all, each week the children will leave class with their own tailor-made projects to show family and friends. These projects (many made from fun recycled materials) will be a true source of accomplishment and joy. New projects are featured each semester and year to year so that the children can continue the learning experience. Welcome to the jungle! Explore the world of jungle habitats in this engaging 3-day art workshop inspired by tropical environments and the animals that live within them. Students will study a variety of jungle creatures and landscapes, using observation and imagination to inform their artwork. This workshop is designed for children and teens, and groups students by age to support appropriate pacing, skill development, and positive peer connection. Over the course of three projects, young artists will strengthen their drawing and painting skills while working with color, texture, pattern, and layering. Instruction is guided by the Elements of Art and Principles of Design, helping students create artwork that feels both expressive and intentional. This workshop is ideal for students who enjoy animals, nature, and creative exploration, and who are excited to build strong visual skills while working through a fun, theme-based approach. Artists must be enrolled in First Grade, Fall 2026 and have graduated Kindergarten to attend.

Please be aware of the date you're signing up for. We will show you simple ways to engage your child's five senses through materials commonly found around the house. Expect to spend at least an hour and a half for each Playgroup: -30 minute structured class where fine motor skills are practiced -Playtime to encourage social interaction -Snacks/Lunch eaten together as a class (please bring your own food)

Ages 4-6. THIS WEEK: Here at The Giggling Pig we aim to foster each child's unique style, so this week we will be focusing on YOU with self portraits. Students will broaden their concepts of value and light with graphite, focusing on various blending and drawing techniques to achieve different results with the same pencil. This monotone project will challenge students to look beyond color to capture their likeness with every stroke.
