On piano, I like to play all sorts of styles from classical, to rock, pop, and even a little jazz. I focus more on music theory and improvisational techniques, but have the ability to teach you how to read music as well. On the drums, I can teach you the basics, and get you started with several fun and fresh rock, funk, and jazz grooves and fills, however reading drum music is something I am also very new to. I like to think that I am a strong jam drummer, meaning I can take the dynamic of an ensemble to its high and low limits, helping other musicians to discover and lock in parts of their own compositions. Though Kyle can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Bon Iver, John Mayer, and Coldplay which had great influence on his style of playing. She began playing violin at the age of 7 and continued her education by playing in her school's orchestra until graduation, competing in Texas State Solo and Ensemble, to finally debuting a piece by the esteemed composer Eric Whitacre with the University of Denver Symphony. Her musical influences include baroque, jazz, rock and Latin music. Aurora's favorite thing about music is the feeling of frisson she experiences when part of an ensemble; the beauty of forming moving and unique harmonies and chord progressions, and her favorite thing about teaching music is nurturing and watching a musician fall in love with their craft, providing a life-long sense of purpose and pride. One of her favorite teaching experiences was helping a friend figure out vibrato and witnessing their performance transform into something greater than the sum of its parts. I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston where I was a voice principal and graduated as a Professional Musician. I have been performing for 7 years and have released an album. I am a singer/songwriter and play piano as well. I look forward to having fun and creating music with you! Formal Education: I graduated as a Professional Music Major from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Private Education: I started taking voice and piano lessons in middle school while participating in the Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas. In high school I participated in choir as well as my schools extra curricular Women's Select Choir and our jazz choir, Shades of Blue. I was also selected to be a part of All Region choir 2 years and All State choir for 1 year. Performing Experience: I have been performing for 7 years in private homes, restaurants, clubs, and special events. I have also toured the Northeast as well as Nashville with different bands.
