We are offering 3 different art camps/ new curriculum for Middle and High School Art Camps this summer. Art Camp at All Things Art Studio is the best way to experience total immersion in a summer art program! It's fun & and students get a chance to delve into their creative selves without crazy time restraints. Students will also get to Tie Dye an All Things Art Studio Camp Shirt (or other item for repeat campers) on Day 1! (included in the fee of camp). In the mornings, they will be working on individual projects, and the afternoon art academy will give them a relaxed but focused exercise in fine arts. There will be landscape drawing and painting, and still life exploration. We explore drawing, clay, printmaking, textiles, weaving, watercolor, acrylics, tempera paint, glazing & more! We will work with canvas, clay, watercolor, tissue paper and many other types of medium as well. Every camp is a different curriculum, so please register for as many as you can :) It's an amazing week for students, they meet and make new art friends and enjoy the warm summer weather. Bring a sack lunch each day and a water bottle, We will have outdoor lunch & walk in the neighborhood- plus outdoor "en plain air" instruction in their daily journal/ sketchbook. Bring it on! Some of our Elementary, Middle School and High School groups will be offered at the same times & days (convenient for families with older & younger children). But the Camps will be separated by the groups and have different curriculum and locations within the studio. (MS/HS have a seperate registration with separate curriculum)

Spend a semester applying elements of story and musical theatre in writing scenes that incorporate songs (either popular or original*), and workshopping with your classmates for performances at the end of the semester. Equal parts story & script writing, theatrical staging, and musical performance, we will focus on the creative process and collaborative nature of writing and putting a scene to paper, stage, and music. Class time will include writing to prompts, sharing with peers, editing, and blocking for performance. This class may count as a performing arts elective or creative writing course for the semester. *Songwriting will not be taught in this class- students will be encouraged to use recorded songs (any genre) in their scenes, as found in jukebox musicals. However young songwriters are welcome to incorporate their original music if they would like. Required: IEW or other creative writing foundation, and ability to format and print scripts from home.

Students will bring classic stories to life through creative movement, voice, and character work. Along the way, they’ll build confidence, practice teamwork, and discover how to use their bodies and voices to tell stories. Each class is filled with games, storytelling, and hands on acting activities designed for young theatre students.. By the end of the session, students will be ready to share their favorite fairy tales in a fun, low-pressure performance for family and friends!

Have you ever wanted to dance with a fairy? Or listen to knock-knock jokes from a gnome? Then this is the camp for you! Kiddos are invited to transform into a character that lives in the Magic Garden– and our guided pretend play will allow everyone to step into the story and explore. Through costumes, crafts, music and puppets we will bring the Magic Garden to life! Please Note: -Your child must be 3.5 when the camp starts. No exceptions for younger friends. -Your child must be fully potty trained. This means they are able to use the larger toilet. -We do not offer naps. You are welcome to pick up during our lunch window from 12pm - 12:30 if your child still naps and needs to head home. -There is no final performance for these camps. These camps are all about pretend play centered in the theme of the week. -We do not take kids to the park, but we will spend time in the larger studio at the end of the day. -We do not offer after-care. Gloria Voce is a mixed choral group for students to grow together in learning to read music, sing harmonies, and apply vocal techniques of breath, blend, pitch, and resonance at the junior high level. In this season, students will find their voices are changing and we will adapt to their new “instrument” as that occurs. Along with two concerts in December (Tuesday, December 1st at 7pm) and May (date TBD), Gloria Voce may also perform at the Mall of America during the Christmas season (date TBD). No audition required. NOTE: due to the time required to order music, a late fee of $25 for all who register less than two weeks before classes begin.

Now that your child has increased his or her language skills, experienced high/low, has marched to the steady beat, and has the rhythm all inside, let's apply those concepts directly to the piano! We will learn the scale, listen to famous composers and famous piano pieces, make music with sound stories, learn musical terms, strengthen our fingers, work on proper posture and hand position, learn quarter notes and half notes, and letters C,D,E all before private music lessons begin! Melody Makers is a solid foundation for piano or private music instruction! Plus, everything is better with new friends! Classes are 1 hour long each week. From building the boxes, to designing the wallpaper and carpets, to building furniture. This week is not ideal for children under 7 years old as there will be a lot of hot glue and building, but they can still give it their best try. ​ We are looking forward to seeing rooftop terraces, pools, gardens and more!

PLEASE NOTE: This Family Music class takes place in our small classroom. Therefore, the class size is limited to 10 children only. This class is NOT on our playscape/playfloor. If you would like your child to have play time on the equipment, please sign up for a Play class. Engage your little one in a multi-age music class which provides opportunities not only to learn musical techniques, styles, and about different instruments, but also supports social and emotional development.

Calling all young writers, illustrators, and storytellers! In this creative and inspiring workshop, students will dream up, write, illustrate, and bind their very own handmade books. Throughout the week, artists will explore what makes a story come alive—memorable characters, vivid settings, exciting conflicts, and imaginative details. Students may create stories inspired by summer adventures, fantasy worlds, friendships, mysteries, nature, family memories, or entirely original ideas. Guided prompts and brainstorming activities will help each child find a story they’re excited to tell. As writers and artists, students will develop their story structure, design their pages, create illustrations, and think about how words and images work together to create meaning. They’ll receive support and encouragement along the way, while also having room to make creative choices and develop their own voice. To complete their books, students will design a mixed-media cover and bind their pages together with ribbon, creating a beautiful handmade keepsake to take home and share. Perfect for imaginative kids who love writing, drawing, storytelling, and bringing original ideas to life!

This Creative Movement Class is designed to introduce young dancers to the joy of movement through music, storytelling, games, and creative play. With jazz and ballet as the base, students will build coordination, balance, rhythm, listening skills, and body awareness while exploring movement in a fun and supportive environment. Creative Movement encourages imagination, confidence, and social interaction while laying the foundation for future dance training.
