I knew at that time it was for me. 1985 is when I got my own drum set mostly just practice.1987 i got with other people to play in the shed and at parties .A few bands later I got with some really talented people ,we formed a great band did quite a few shows and even won 1st place in the battle of the bands contest. then we won the bar. We were the band. Studio time 2 times a couple of demos and that just added more to my skill set. 2001 was the end then i took a break.2005 or so I got with some more members. I think it was late 2007.when i put my sticks up for good. Now coming up soon i will join in another band. and continue until I will drum no more. I look forward to teaching others how to play the drums. Performing Experience: I have been in 5 serious bands. 2 of which have been touring band where we have played all over Texas, Louisana, New Mexico and surrounding cities. Experience Teaching: I have been teaching for the last 3 years. I love teaching all styles and genres for all ages, preferably ages 7 and up. Any age earlier than that is just too hard to teach due to so much detail in lessons. I love playing and teaching rock and jazz and everyrthing in between. I am a full-time piano performance major at Baylor, and I have studied piano for nine to ten years, now. I am classically trained on piano, but I play jazz and pop as well. My teaching will likely consist primarily of classical music, but I am open to giving instruction in jazz as well. While I do not have much teaching experience yet, I have received thorough instruction from the Baylor faculty on how to teach piano. My teaching philosophy centers around my students' well-being. Music is meant to enrich our lives as people; people do not exist to create music. I never sacrifice my students' well-being or mental health for the sake of musical progress. From a very young age I can remember wanting to hang out with the grown ups who were always singing! Playing chase with my cousins didn?t sound near as exciting as learning how to sing those beautiful harmony parts. So as I grew up I pursued a singing career. I was singing professionally in Dallas with my first band in highscool! I continued my career in the DFW area singing with various artist in town, such as Robert Lee Colb, Bill Tillman, Tiffany Shea Band and Vince Vance and the Valliants. I was Vanessa Vallianette for a time. The latter 2 bands were huge, Vegas style show bands that traveled nationwide! These days I mostly just play and sing with friends and family. I have a cousin who runs a studio in Temple and will occasionally call me to come sing back up for some of his clients. My son is a bass player for a very famous band!
